My latest mix is now online. Venus Tunes Sessions is a monthly mix by Susanne Alt on Freak31, aired every first Sunday of the month at 19:00h. In addition, earlier Venus Tunes Sessions shows are repeated every Friday between 20:00-21:00 and Tuesday 21:00-22:00.Freak 31 has around 250 daily listeners (less during the week, more in the weekend) and a total of +10.000 listeners every month. All of this in addition to my normal life as a musician. Streaming Dance, straight from Amsterdam. - Last Saturday I was on a party and there was a cool tune, I had to shazam it.. it turned out to be a tune by Dazz. I haven't posted anything by Dazz yet, but had a look in my collection and found this record. I thought I had most of the records of Dazz but it's not true! I think I overlooked it a few times and confused it with Dayton, another funk band from Ohio. Anyway:This is the second album of a Cleveland Ohio based band who later would change their name to Dazz Band. The group became known as Kinsman Dazz, named after both the street and the lounge where they worked as the house band: Sonny Jones' Kinsman Grill Lounge. The group adopted its name before the song Dazz became an R&B hit. Read more on Wikipedia.This album holds a few quite uptempo dancing tracks, filled with lots of horns and strings, They dedicated it to Earth Wind & Fire's Philip Bailey who co-produced the album.
