Vinyl Wednesday: E1 Ten - Lovefunk

For a change not an old(er) record but a brand new one:
Still waiting for the cd his team will send me in a few days but I couldn't resist and bought the vinyl already....
Last week Iwan van Amersfoord alias E1 Ten released his first solo album. And what a beauty.
Look: a matte layer on the cover and white vinyl. Very nicely done!
I did a couple of horn arrangements and recordings for Lovefunk in return for his constribution on my Saxify.
All the lyrics and full credits are written down carefully. I always love reading all the credits... so interesting, it says a lot about the process.
Lovefunk is more rock oriented than his previous work but the funk is present, especially in the Bootsy-esque ballad "Lovefunk". The album starts blues/rock and becomes more soul/funk the further you get and even gospel in the end.
