Gig pics: Much needed house vitamins

Thursday night, playing a cooperate event (thanks to
AT Bookings) with DJ
Dennis van der Geest alias DVDG and
MC Choral. What I like about them is, that both of them are very disciplined artists, constantly wanting to deliver the best they can.
I know, many jazz/soul/funk listeners don't share my love of house. It gives me a different energy, it makes me wanting to continue producing, it makes me stand in awe of the art of production and sound in general.. how powerful sound can be! The definition of loudness and defined fatness and what it does to people at that moment. Okay, I know I am geeking out here.
The funny thing is that sometimes we are performing somewhere, it could be at a wedding or a gala or at a big festival or maybe at a rainy gig with no audience or with thousands of people jumping up and down in the sunshine and yet it hits you (again). That's what happened yesterday once more.
And since I see myself as an improvising musician mainly, house music gives me plenty of space to entertain people and try to give them what I think they need at that moment. I love the interaction between the musicians/dj's on stage and with the audience. That's what i call my house vitamins...
