Cotton Club is probably on of the oldest jazz cafes in Europe..
Every Saturday afternoon between 16:30-20:00, there's live jazz. Even Chet Baker has played here in the 60's, I spoke to a man who eye- and ear-witnessed him and other great jazz musicians.
This time it was our turn: Sven Schuster (bass), Victor de Boo (drums) and Hans de Wild (keys). We played the repertoire of my jazz albums including Sven's and my tunes. A very nice throwback.
Cotton Club is a cult place for real jazz lovers. One of few jazz clubs left. Somehow, time stands still here, only the humans age a tiny bit. If you love jazz and are in town on a Saturday, you must come by at least once.
