funky modern souljazz on a double cd!
Susanne Alt, well-known for her funky sound, played at Bimhuis, Amsterdam (october 14th, 2010) with her band. Bimhuis is the most famous jazz venue in the Netherlands. The Susanne Alt Quartet has played there many times before so now it was time to record there as the acoustic is great and the sound technicians knowledgable. This concert of october 14th, has been put 1:1 on a double cd, the listener actually puts on the first and the second set, so it's a proper live registration.
Weeks before, fans were able to vote their favourite tunes of the bands' repertoire to be added on the set list via social media polls. Considering the outcome and also the tunes the band felt most comfortable with, they played the best of everything!
